Work Permit for Migrant Domestic Worker
Employers are required to apply for the work permit if they wish to hire a migrant Domestic Worker
| Qualification Criteria – From 23 to below 50 years old – Helpers aged 50 and above can only renew their Work Permits until they are 60 years old – Minimum 8 years of formal education with a recognised certificate – Approved Source Countries: 1. Work Permit for Confinement Nanny
| Qualification Criteria – Be a Malaysian – Between 23 to 70 years old at the time of application – Work at the Employer’s residence |
| Duration of Permit is as follows: The maximum validity of the work permit is 16-weeks starting the child’s date of birth |
Work Permit for Performing Artiste
| Qualification Criteria Only eligible for CAT 1 Public Entertainment Licensed Bar, Discotheque, Lounge, Nightclub, Pub, Hotel, Private Club or Restaurant – Outlet must operate at least 6-hours a day – Outlet must employ at least one local employee who earns the Local Qualifying Salary |
| Duration of Permit is as follows: > One-time Only: Up to 6 months No renewals or convert to mainstream Work Permit for 1-year (even for another occupation) after the permit expires or gets cancelled >Outlet can employ up to 8 foreign performing artistes. Application for more headcount to be approved on a case-by-case basis |
